ABSTRACT Body image is a person's perception, thoughts, and feelings about his body shape. A person who has a positive body image is satisfied with his body shape and appearance, feels confident, and accepts all changes in his body shape. The study aims to determine the relationship between body image and eating disorders in adolescent girls. The study using cross sectional design. The research subjects is students class 11 SMAN 4 Tambun Selatan, Bekasi Regency with total subject 147 students. Body image variables were measured using the Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ-34), and eating disorders using the Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-26) questionnaire. Analyzed using Chi-Square test. The results showed that 53.7% of the subjects had a negative body image, and 44.2% of the subjects had eating disorders. In conclusion, there was a significant relationship (p=0,019) between body image and eating disorders, with Ods Ratio = 2.221 then women with negative body image have 2 times the opportunity to experience eating disorders with positive body image. Suggestions for schools to provide counseling or information regarding body image, the impact of eating disorders and information about nutrition. Keyword: Body Image, Eating Disorders, Teenage girl.
