Selection of the right drug in patients with diabetes mellitus can control the patient's blood sugar levels, when blood sugar levels can be controlled then the incidence of complications can be avoided and the mortality and morbidity of diabetes mellitus will decrease. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of the use of oral antidiabetics, insulin, or a combination and to evaluate the rationality of the use of antidiabetics in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DMT2) in an inpatient installation of a private hospital in the Bekasi area in 2020. The research design used was observational. descriptive with a retrospective approach. The data were taken from the medical records of DMT2 patients who were treated in an inpatient installation of a private hospital in the East Bekasi area in 2020. The results for the profile of antidiabetic drug use were that the most used combination drugs were insulin and insulin as many as 4 patients, oral with oral 3 patients and insulin orally in 2 patients. Evaluation of the accuracy of drug use was determined based on 4 parameters, namely 100% correct indication, 58.33% correct drug, 100% correct patient and 97.62% correct dose.
