Excellent hospital service to patients and the community is a prerequisite to win the increasingly competitive hospital business competition. One important part of such services is nursing. Nurses must be able to maintain and improve the quality of nursing care to a high standard. Professional nursing practice standards are guidelines for nurses in Indonesia in carrying out nursing care using the nursing process approach both from assessment to evaluation and documentation of nursing care. The implementation of nursing documentation is used as a measuring tool to find out, monitor and assess a nursing care service carried out by a hospital. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes with the motivation of nurses in the completeness of documentation of nursing care at RS "X" Bekasi City. This research is in the form of cross-sectional research and sampling is carried out using purpossive sampling techniques. The results of the study proved that the two free variables (knowledge and attitudes) were significantly related to the bound variables (the motivation of nurses in the completeness of documenting nursing care). The chi square test at a confidence level of 95% showed the result that the p value = 0.023. Thus the p-value is smaller than alpha (5%) so Ho is rejected, which means that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and the motivation of nurses in the completeness of documenting nursing care at RS "X" Bekasi City. Similarly, the relationship of the attitude variable with the nurse's motivation variable in the completeness of documenting nursing care resulted in that the p value = 0.002. Thus the p-value is smaller than alpha (5%) so Ho is rejected, which means that there is a relationship between the attitude and the motivation of the nurse in the completeness of documenting nursing care at "X" Hospital in Bekasi City (p = 0.002 < 0.05 for the two-sided test). The results of the risk estimation obtained an odds ratio value of 4.015 which means that a good nurse's attitude is 4,015 times more likely to document nursing care compared to the nurse's attitude that is not good.
