HUBUNGAN ASUPAN GIZI DAN STUNTING DENGAN PRESTASI AKADEMIK PADA ANAK USIA SEKOLAH DASAR DI SDN JATIRAHAYU V KOTA BEKASI


ABSTRACT
Academic achievement is a characteristic of students who have quality in human resource. The average value
of Indonesia's human resource quality is below other ASEAN countries. Low quality of human resource can harm the
nation, so it needs to be prevented as early as possible. Factors affecting of academic achievement is stunting and
nutritional intake. Unbalance nutritional intake make children difficult receiving information. Stunting can reduce
brain development, so that academic achievement can decreases. The study aims to determine the relationship
between nutritional intake (energy, protein, fat and carbohydrate) and stunting with academic achievement in
elementary school-aged children at SDSN Jati Rahayu V Bekasi City. The study using cross sectional design. The
independent variables study is nutritional intake and stunting, the dependent variable is academic achievement. The
research subject is stundents class 4 and 5 SDSN Jati Rahayu V, Bekasi City with total sample 122 stundents. Data is
collected by questionnaire Food Recall 2x24 hours, anthropometric measurements, and raport. Analyzed using Chi
Square and Fisher’s Exact test. The conclusion of this study is there is no relationship between energy, protein, fat
and carbohydrate intake and stunting with academic achievement in elementary school-aged children at SDSN Jati
Rahayu V, Bekasi City.
